As someone with wild unruly eyebrows, I know what a blessing brow gel can be. This simple piece of makeup can do many things. You can use gel solely to tame your eyes’ frames like hairspray or even lock in powder or pencil. We love using the tinted ones to give my eyebrows a stronger look while still appearing natural. You can also use it as mascara if you find yourself in a bind!
Here are a few of our favorites:
You can’t have a list discussing eyebrows without mentioning Anastasia Beverly Hills. Dipbrow gel is essentially their famous dipbrow pomade in gel form. It’s waterproof and comes in the widest variety of shades of any gel on this list. Use this one if you plan on spending the whole day out and really want your done-up brows to hold.
Glossier’s cult-favorite comes in clear and three shades. The brush is a great size, and it holds your brows in place while also filling them in a bit. It is a pomade, which means it does not stiffen your brows or flake. This helps avoid also having to pencil them in and appears more natural. However, the shade range is somewhat limited.
KUSH Fiber Brow is comparable to boy brow but comes in more shades. It also has cannabis seed oil in it, which gives your brows a slicker supermodel appearance. Its description brags heart-shaped fibers that thicken your eyebrows. Use this if you’re going for a fun, bold, but natural look.
This miracle find is only $2 and holds your brows in place without flaking. The brush is a regular mascara brush, though, so this may not be ideal if you have thinner brows. Sometimes that brush also causes it to get a bit too much product on it, and you need to be careful, but hey, it’s a small price to pay to save some cash.
This gel has microfibers that help to create a full brow look. It is also buildable. Benefit Cosmetics claims that (in a focus group), over 90% of women found that their brows looked visibly thicker. Lucky for us, it comes in several shades and mini sizes so we can take it for a trial run.
