Unconventional Date Nights: Fun and Memorable Activities to Spice Things Up

We don’t know about everyone else, but we’re bored eating at the same place every weekend. Dinner and drinks are great every once in a while, but we’re more about experiences. So, if you, too, are looking for some unique date ideas, stick with us because we’ve got a whole list for you. Let’s get started!

Thrift Store Date

Hit up your local thrift store and take your time. You can walk around together looking at all the unique finds. Or, turn it into a fun challenge by searching for a silly gift for the other person. If you’re going for laughs, pick out outfits for each other that you have to try on.

Bookstagram Worthy

Our personal favorite date night? Bookstore shopping. Stop for coffee or tea on your way there, then browse the aisles together. Knowing what authors and books your partner enjoys is a great way to get to know them.

Art in the Park

Whether you like to paint, sketch, collage, or make jewelry, load up a picnic and some supplies for a day of making art together. Not only is this relaxing, but you’ll end up with a handmade keepsake.

I Scream, You Scream

If you love ice cream, this date idea is for you: Create your own ice cream flights at home. Head to the grocery store and select two pints: one favorite and one you’ve never tried. Once you get home, it’s time to taste and rank them.

How We Roll

Partner up for an evening of rad tricks, couples skating, skating rink food, and glow sticks. If you want to take this date to the next level, give yourselves an ’80s or ’90s theme where you both have to dress the part.

Childlike Wonder

During this date, both of you write down some of the things you loved doing as a kid. Then, fill your days with these activities. We can promise lots of laughs, memory sharing, and maybe even a few nostalgic tears.

May I Have This Dance?

If you’re looking for a date that can happen in your living room, may we recommend YouTube dance lessons? Light some candles, make your favorite cocktails or mocktails, and queue up the moves.
