Eyeshadow helps brighten our eyes, define them, and make them stand out. In 2022, the color to use is green! From neon green to emerald, you can find the shade that suits your skin tone, style, and look you’re trying to achieve.

Statement Blush

Have you ever thought that you applied a bit too much blush and had to remove it entirely? Try leaving it on! 2022 is all about statement blush and letting your cheekbones be the star of the show. Of course, there is a fine line between statement blush and completely overdone; make sure to blend well so it doesn’t look splotchy.

Neon Eyeliner

Neon eyeliner isn’t new to the makeup world, but like other trends, it is circling back! If you want to get out of your comfort zone and experiment with brighter colors, now is the time to do it. If you have red undertones, try neon blues, greens, or even magenta. If you have yellow undertones, try neon red or fuchsia. And if you have neutral undertones, play with all the neon eyeliners you can find!

Burgundy Lips

One of the ’90s trends making a comeback in 2022 is burgundy lipstick. The bold lip color looks great with every skin tone and can be paired with a neutral, dramatic, or shimmery eye. If you need a new lip shade to add to your collection, burgundy is for you.

Lined Lips

Here’s to another ’90s trend that is back: lining your lips! Applying lip liner before lipstick helps define your lips and makes them poutier and bolder. You can even play with having a slightly darker or lighter liner than your lipstick to enhance your look and make it your own. If you need some guidance, ask your favorite Gen X-er or Xennial, they’ll surely remember this trend.

Glittery Eyes

Sparkly or glittery eyes never go out of style – plus, it is both playful and romantic. For simpler application, try pressed glitter eyeshadow, which is easier to control than loose powder. If you’re a pro, have fun with loose powder on your eyes!
