Change Your Body with a 20-Minute Workout

You don’t need a gym membership, a bunch of equipment, or even a whole lot of time. All you need to change your body is 20 minutes a day. Try it for a month, and you’ll start to see the results. Stick with it for a year, and you’re going to have a totally different, much healthier body.

What Can 20 Minutes Do?

According to the CDC, adults need to get at least 150 minutes of moderate to intense activity every week. That’s about 20 minutes for 7 days. So if you maintain 20 minutes of activity every single day, you’ll end up a much healthier person at the end of the year if you also combine eating healthy food. The CDC also recommends focusing on muscle strength at least 2 days a week.

Regular physical activity can reduce your risk of developing many chronic diseases. It can also make you feel better, look better and function better on a daily basis. Not bad for 20 minutes a day.

Go Big

By anyone’s standards, 20 minutes is not a whole lot of time. You can’t even watch a complete episode of most shows in 20 minutes. So if you’re only doing it for 20 minutes, give your workout everything you’ve got. Go for sweat-inducing, intense exercise routines that include plenty of cardio and calisthenics. Do push-ups, sit-ups, jumping jacks and other classic bodyweight exercises that don’t require equipment or even a lot of room.

Keep your routines simple, and you’ll have fewer excuses for talking yourself out of doing your exercises. You can burn over 200 calories with a 20-minute high-intensity cardio workout. That can add up pretty quickly.

Change Your Body

You can find 20 minutes a day to get active, especially when you don’t even have to leave the house to do it. Start devoting less than a half hour to your body every day, and you’ll get much closer to having the body and mind you want.
