Gucci x The North Face: One of Everything, Please

Adventure, but make it fashion. Back in September, there were rumors that The North Face and Gucci might be teaming up for a collection. The collection photos are finally on Instagram, and they do not disappoint. The outdoorsy, adventurous spirit of The North Face paired with the luxurious excess of Gucci makes for a simply stunning collection. The North Face released a video on their Instagram describing the collaboration as, “Channeling the spirit of exploration. Based on original The North Face designs from the ’70s.”

This is the first time that Gucci has teamed up with another brand under designer Alessandro Michele’s direction. That being said, after the recent strides Gucci has taken to become more environmentally friendly, this collab is not entirely out of left field.

Vogue UK described the collection as a “logo enthusiast’s dream,” referring to the familiar quarter-circle stamp that is The North Face’s homage to Half Dome in Yosemite paired with the trademark red and green Gucci stripe. In true designer fashion, you can find logos covering just about every piece in the collection.

Let’s take a look.

The photo campaign was directed and shot by Daniel Shea in the Alps, and frankly, the shoot has convinced us that the only way to explore the great outdoors is covered in head to toe Gucci x North Face.

The Gucci x North Face collection includes puffer coats, windbreakers, vests, tops, fleece, dresses, skirts, jumpsuits, beanies, scarves, and boots—everything you could ever need for a luxurious camping trip.

How do I buy it all?

Don’t get too excited—you can’t shop the collection just yet. Right now, you can enter a raffle on the website for early access to the collection, but only after stores in London, Berlin, Paris, and Milan open. Online access is scheduled for January 22, 2021.
