- Close your eyes
- Breathe in
- Visualize a calm place filled with tranquility
- Breathe out the tension
- Repeat the process for about 10 to 15 breaths

Progressive muscle relaxation
When using this technique, as you breathe in, you tense a group of muscles, and as you breathe out, you release the muscles. It is best to do this on a flat surface while lying down.
Breathe out and breathe in equally
By using this technique, you are trying to eliminate stress by balancing how much time you take to breathe in with the time you take to breathe out. The goal is to balance the breath in and out for equal counts.
