Need More Excuses To Soak Up The Summer Sun?

If you’re anything like us, the idea of summer drawing to a close leaves you bummed out. But, in the interest of not dwelling on what’s to come, we’re instead going to bask in what time we still have. Here are a few ways to soak up the summer sun while it lasts!

Work From Your Deck/Patio

If you work from home, it’s time to fully take advantage of it! Although days spent in back-to-back Zoom meetings are a little more challenging, if you have a quieter day ahead, opt to conduct your work from your deck or patio rather than from your home office.

Do Some Yard Work

Kill two birds with one stone, so to speak, and get some of that dreaded yard work out of the way while soaking up some sunlight. Whether you have to mow the lawn, weed your garden, or clean up some flower beds, so long as you are working outside, your time won’t be wasted.

Go for a Daily Walk

You don’t have to be a world-class marathon runner to get some outdoor exercise. Instead, build a 30-minute walk into your day. You’ll not only feel more connected to nature, but you’ll also feel the positive effects of a nice, calm workout.

Eat Outside

So your workday is jam-packed? Not to worry! If you only have a lunch break to spare, eat it outside rather than at your desk or in the company kitchen. That way, you’re truly taking in every ounce of sun you can get.

Do Some Reading or Writing

While the TV is tempting, it’s time to set down the remote and find a comfortable outdoor chair or blanket to enjoy a good book or do some journaling. Your streaming shows will still be there for you when temperatures start to fall.

Enjoy a Drink From Your Porch

Whether you’re starting your day with a cup of coffee or ending it with your favorite cocktail, take your drink out to your porch and have a seat. You’ll find this is a perfect time to decompress (or squeeze in some meditation). A little relaxation is just what the doctor ordered this summer, right?
