As the first month of 2020 is coming to an end, it is the perfect time to think about how we can stick to our goals. Planning is crucial in achieving your goals, which is why you should start thinking about the habits you want to implement. It doesn’t have to be January 1st to create new goals! These are some of our recommendations.
Exercise
Exercise is about getting your body moving. It is very beneficial for your overall health as it has short term and long term benefits. There is no need to keep procrastinating. Think about how you would like to exercise and work on implementing the habit. If you don’t like going to the gym, there are plenty of other ways you can get your exercise.
Regular Doctor Appointments
With the hustle of everyday lives, we can often overlook the importance of regular check-ups. Book the appointment you’ve been postponing and mark in the dates for your general screening appointments in your calendar for the next year.
Meditate
Meditation is a great way to help our brain to stay focused and organized. This habit is easy to implement as it doesn’t require a lot of time. All you need is a couple of minutes each day, and you will immediately start to feel the benefits.
Add Additional Servings of Fruit or Vegetables
By adding more vegetables to your meals, you can easily make them healthier and more nutritious. Additionally, eating more fruit during the day will increase your micronutrient and fiber intake. After a week of sticking to this, you will find that your mood will be better.
Put Down Your Phone
It is obvious that you need to spend less time on your phone during the day; however, sometimes it can be hard to implement this in your day to day life. By specifying a certain time each day when you are not allowed to use your phone, you will be more likely to stick to it. This will help you to realize where your time goes and will give you more time for activities during the day.
Embrace Positivity
Researchers have found the more you feed into positive thoughts, positive behaviors, and positive language, the more happiness you will create for yourself. The easiest way to do this is by adding small things you enjoy into your everyday routine and remember to be thankful that you get to do them.
