Bonnie and Clyde

Bonnie and Clyde is a classic costume for history and true crime lovers alike – and the best part is that it’s super easy to DIY. Hit up your local thrift store for your clothing, nab some vintage luggage, and you’re set. Plus, this is an easy costume to add layers to if needed.

Baby and Johnny from Dirty Dancing

Nobody puts Baby in the corner! This costume is a great opportunity to bust out your awesome dance moves. Dirty Dancing is full of great costume opportunities, but we’re partial to the pink dress and monochromatic black ensemble look.

We’re not ones to turn down the opportunity to be sarcastic and hilarious all night. If you have time before your Halloween soirée, this costume is a fun DIY, and you’ll have full bragging rights the whole night.

Edward and Vivian from Pretty Woman

Assuming one of you has a gray suit, all you need to get your hands on is Vivian’s ensemble (or a variation of it). You can improvise the dress with a white tee and body-con miniskirt. As for the gray suit, if you don’t have one, head to your local thrift store.

Hungry, Hungry Hippos

Inspired by an old favorite board game, this simple DIY costume can be crafted with just some felt and a hot glue gun. And if you’ve got little ones around, this costume is a winner for the whole family!

Barbie and Ken

Sometimes the best Halloween costume comes straight from our childhoods. What we love most about this costume is that you can choose your Barbie and Ken look: If you live somewhere warm, maybe Malibu Barbie and Ken; if you live somewhere already experiencing crisper autumn air, maybe classic monochromatic pink Barbie fits.

Lumberjacks

Lumberjack costumes are not only convenient to wear in the fall because the entire fit is based around flannel, but odds are, you can pull this right out of your closet. If you can’t, flannels, beanies, suspenders, and even axes can be found at your local thrift store.

Jim and Pam From The Office

You can’t go wrong with any characters from The Office, but if you’re looking for a couple’s costume, Jim and Pam can’t be beaten. This is another look you might have lurking in your closet, but if not, you can easily find what you’re looking for at a thrift store. Just make sure those Keds are squeaky clean.

Patti Mayonnaise and Doug Funnie

Doug was one of the best-animated series’ of our childhoods, and you can still hear us humming the hit song “Killer Tofu.” Doug’s costume is pretty easy to throw together, and if you’ve got a blue sweater with pink polka dots, then you’re practically Patti Mayonnaise already. If not, that’s nothing a little felt can’t fix.

Bob and Linda Belcher from Bob’s Burgers

A night of getting to recite all of Linda’s one-liners? Sign us up. Linda’s ensemble is pretty easy to piece together, especially if you’ve got red cat-eye frames. And as for Bob, the mustache is the must-have piece here.
