These days, it seems everyone has opinions on ways you can improve your health. Organize Your Refrigerator

Fruits and vegetables make great snacks, as they are filled with fiber, an essential nutrient many people don’t get enough of. However, these types of foods often hide in our refrigerator drawers. One small change you can make is putting fruits and vegetables in clear containers and at eye level. That way, when you open your refrigerator, you will see them first. Subconsciously, this can help you make better choices.

Walk More

We know that exercise is important, as it can improve your overall energy, reduce stress, and improve sleep, among other benefits. But this doesn’t mean you need to engage in intense cardio every day to feel the effects. In fact, even 10 minutes of brisk walking every day can make a difference in your health. You may continue burning calories afterward as well.

Establish a Sleeping Schedule

Do you struggle with sleep? It is estimated that 1 in 4 Americans develop insomnia each year. But getting a full night’s sleep is crucial for overall health. By establishing a sleep schedule, you can train your body to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day. Other tips include spraying lavender on your pillow or listening to soothing music or white noise to help you fall asleep.

Wash Your Hands More Often

According to the CDC, washing your hands reduces your chances of getting sick by anywhere from 16% to 58%. It can also prevent you from bringing illness into your home or office and avoid infecting your friends, co-workers, and family. Since the pandemic began, 90% of Americans have stated that they wash their hands more often than before. This is not a habit you want to forget!

Switch Out Processed Sugar

Over-consumption of foods with processed or refined sugar has been linked to obesity, heart disease, and diabetes, among other health issues. While it’s impossible to avoid sugar entirely, when possible, consider switching out your sugary desserts for healthier alternatives, like dark chocolate and raspberries instead of ice cream. This can also help you to avoid cravings and sugar crashes.
