As couples, we tend to default to our usual go-to dates, but new activities can spark new interests and encourage you to do different things more often. Here are a handful of fun date ideas to try!
Go Kayaking
Kayaking is a versatile date! You can take a daytime eco-tour, a golden hour sunset ride, or a romantic moonlit paddle. Bring drinks, a snack or meal, and an instant film camera or a GoPro to document your adventure.
Have a Board Game Night
If you like to stay in, we suggest you have a board game night. Order takeout, open a bottle of wine, and set yourself up for a night of friendly competition. Some of our favorite two-player board games are 7 Wonders Duel, Lawyer Up, and Lost Cities.
Go Wine or Beer Tasting
You don’t need a vineyard near you to have a wine tasting date; many local bars and restaurants offer this experience. If you enjoy beer, try checking out a local craft beer brewery. Tour the brewery, then enjoy a flight of different beers. You may be surprised by the variety of options and flavors.
Take a Day Trip
Whether spontaneous or planned, hop in your car and take a day trip with your partner. You can drive to a nearby town or pick a place on the map within an hour or two of where you live. You can find new sites, landmarks, and eateries that you have never heard of before or have been dying to check out!
Attend a Music Event
Are you both music lovers? Attend a live concert or check out local live music events. In the summer, many parks host different genres of music. Bring towels or lawn chairs and enjoy the weather and the company of your significant other.
