Who Wore What to the 2019 Billboard Music Awards

The biggest stars in music descended on Las Vegas to vie for recognition at the Billboard Music Awards. Performers such as Taylor Swift, the Jonas Brothers, Ciara, Kelly Clarkson and more brought their music to the MGM Grand stage and their fashion to the red carpet. Trending styles were thigh-high slits on gorgeous gowns, ruffles, sequins and Missoni suits.

 

Taylor Swift

Just days after releasing her new hit single “ME!”, Taylor Swift hit the red carpet in a ruffled lavender minidress with lace insets reminiscent of an ice skater silhouette. The design by Istanbul-based team Raisa & Vanessa was paired with Casadei silver heeled sandals, a $9,000 starry diamond Stefere Jewelry ear cuff and other jewels.

 

Kelly Clarkson

Kelly Clarkson returned to host the Billboard Music Awards and stunned in a sheer, ruffled black gown. A touch of edgy was added by her thigh-high slit, double-buckle belt and rainbow sandals.

 

Sophie Turner

Before marrying Joe Jonas after the awards ceremony, the Game of Thrones star walked the red carpet wearing a slightly futuristic, cropped, silver patterned jumpsuit by Louis Vuitton. She accessorized with a sleek black belt and black pumps. Joe wore Missoni.

 

Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria chose a flirty, structured frock with a high-low hem matched with peep toe pumps.

 

Kiernan Shipka

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star has been dazzling in her Netflix hit. She proved she’s got magical fashion up her exaggerated sleeves with her mixed pattern, red and black frock. The high fashion style with a ruffled silhouette and an illusionist top was accented by strappy black stilettos.

 

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas

Newlywed Priyanka sparkled in a in a Zuhair Murad Couture gorgeous sequined V-neck dress gown with a thigh-high slit. She was joined on the red carpet by new husband Nick who wore a ’70s-inspired Missoni plaid suit and matching smoking loafers.

 

Kevin Jonas and Danielle Jonas

Like younger brother Nick, Kevin went more nontraditional on the red carpet in a gray Missoni suit with cream stripes. His wife Danielle opted for a strapless sequin dress complete with thigh-high slit.

 

Maluma

The Colombian pop star, who performed the new song “Medellin” with Madonna for the first time live at the awards show, wore one of the best looks of the night. His custom holographic snakeprint moto jacket and matching trousers by Dsquared2 heated up the red carpet.

 

Ciara

Ciara owned the red carpet in her bold black gown with plunging sheer neckline, oversized floral appliqué, and thigh-high slit.

 

Cobie Smulders

Cobie showed up in one of the nights biggest trends — sequins — in an embellished silver minidress with a plunging neckline.
