As you grow up, ideally, your style should too. The things you could get away with in your 20s, such as mismatched pieces, mini skirts, Velcro wallets and other forms of tackiness, won’t necessarily fly in your 30s. You’re getting to know yourself a lot better so, the idea is to let your style reflect that. Check out these tips for dressing well in your 30s:
Nix The Velcro: If you’re still carrying around a Velcro wallet, toss it now. It not only looks cheap, it also screams, “I’m broke!” Upgrade to a higher quality wallet such as leather that shows off your true adult status.
Mini-skirts: Sure, you may have awesome legs and thighs, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you bare them both for the world to see. Back in your college days, it was fun to sport one of these cool skirts. But in your 30s, you want to avoid that and trade it in for a nice pencil skirt. You get to still show your nice figure off without looking tacky.
Cotton camisoles: You don’t have to get rid of cotton camisoles, but it’s time to opt for the higher-end, lace ones that you can sport under your shirts.
Appropriate high heels: Keep your high heels, but don’t let your “club wear” high heels be the same as your work high heels. One should look a lot more sophisticated than the other.
High-waisted jeans: They are perfect for this age group and look really sexy on anyone.
