Our Favorite TikTok Beauty Hacks

We don’t know about you, but we’re wondering how we ever lived without all of TikTok’s amazing TikToks. Today, we’re bypassing the ’fit checks, Amazon finds, and house-cleaning tricks, and going straight to our favorite beauty hacks.

Frozen Aloe Vera Facials

Applying anything cold to your face is a quick way to reduce puffiness, but if you’re feeling extra bougie, try a frozen aloe vera facial. Acne breakouts and dry skin will become more rare, and if you spend too much time in the sun, that sunburn is no match for aloe vera. You can make your own by purchasing an aloe vera leaf, extracting the gel from the middle, blending it with a little water, then pouring the mixture into popsicle molds. (We recommend silicone molds with sticks, so you can easily apply the frozen mixture to your face.) After the molds have frozen, rub one over your clean face. The mixture is slimy, so keep a towel nearby to blot any excess. Continue for a few minutes, then massage into your skin. Follow up with moisturizer and eye cream, then sit back and enjoy the results.

Frozen Makeup Sponge

Another way you can incorporate cold to decrease puffiness and treat your skin is by freezing your makeup sponge for about 30 minutes before applying makeup. You don’t want the sponge to be hard, just really cold. You should be able to achieve a gorgeous, dewy look with less effort.

Revive Crusty Mascara

Few things are as crushing as when your new mascara gets dry and crusty. If you ever find yourself in this situation, revive your mascara by adding a few eye drops and shaking it until the consistency is as rich as the day you bought it.

Smooth the Static

We are all too familiar with the feeling of half of our hair sticking to our head while the other half stands on end. To combat static, mimic the motion of brushing your hair with a piece of aluminum foil, and you’ll be left with a sleek and smooth mane.

Reverse Hair Washing

Reverse hair washing is the process of conditioning your hair before shampooing. It is recommended for anyone who feels like their hair gets weighed down by conditioner. You should start to notice healthier ends, more volume, and softness. Of course, you can always switch back the order, but if you experience results like others, you may become a firm believer in the reverse process.
