On May 25, 2020, George Floyd, an unarmed Black man, was unjustly murdered in Minneapolis, Minnesota during an arrest. The intense reaction to George Floyd’s death has been felt not only all over the United States but around the entire world. Black and Brown communities have faced unjust brutality by the hands of the police for generations, and his death catapulted the clarity of the degree of racism that is still ingrained in our society.
