How To Dress For The Summer When You’re Inside Of Freezing Air-Conditioned Buildings

It may be blazing temperatures outside. Perfect for shorts, summer dresses and sandals, but if you work inside of an office building, it can feel like the arctic.

Office buildings are almost always cold, and even if you don’t work inside of one, if you have to go to a doctor’s office, grocery store, or other super cold place, you need to layer up, so you don’t freeze your buns off.

The key is to have a few staples in your closet that will keep you warm such as a cardigan, culottes, or a blazer. Here are some summer outfit ideas you can use for the summer whenever you’re going to be inside of a very cold building:

1 – Fit and flare dress, cropped jacket and sling back shoes: You can wear an A-line shape dress that still feels fun a summery, but is polished enough for work. Pair it with a cropped jacket for the office appropriate look. The sleeves of the jacket will keep you warm.

2 – Culottes, blouse, bomber jacket and block heels: Go with culottes if you want more coverage than what a dress has to offer. Plus, it also gives you a professional look. You can pair the pants with a blouse, blazer or bomber jacket.

3- Cardigan, sleeveless blouse and culottes: Do you have a summer blouse you’d like to wear, but it’s just too thin for a cold building? Pair it with culottes or even a pair of pants and achieve that extra warmth with a cardigan.
