What’s “In” With Bangs?

Trendy hairstyles can be fun to play with – especially since hair grows back, which makes it easy to adopt a new ’do for a month or two. The same is true for bangs! If you cut them and find that they don’t do your face justice, you can move on to the next in just a few weeks. We tell you that to tell you this: There are new bangs trends for summer 2024, and they are absolutely to die for. Here are some of our favorites.

Baby Bangs

Baby bangs used to remind us of the days when we cut our bangs at home without supervision. But now? There’s no trauma connected to them; in fact, the shorter the bangs, the more on-trend. Now, listen closely: Not everyone can pull off baby bangs. Check with your stylist if your current cut will pair swimmingly, and then make a move if you get a thumbs up. A key point to remember: Long cuts usually go nicely with short bangs.

Birkin Bangs

Are you looking to be bold? Nix the curtain bangs and drift toward the Birkin bang. The look is a bit shorter and much more blunt. Birkin bangs are cut to eyebrow length and look great with straight hair due to their wispy nature.

Wispy Bangs

If you’re not ready to fully commit to a bang look, the wispy option might be your perfect starter. These bangs are low maintenance, requiring little to no styling on a daily basis. They only need an occasional trim, and they can easily complement any hairstyle, especially straight hair, making your daily routine a breeze.

Bottleneck Bangs

Talk about bangs on a curve! Bottlenecks know how to bend in all the right places. They frame the forehead, narrow down the cheek, and then end with a long and wide look – like a bottle! The best part about these beauties is that they’re versatile. You can transition them into curtain bangs with a few easy swoops and some bobby pins, or you can let them hang loose and flow with the rest of your hairdo. Whatever you feel that day, you can make it happen with bottleneck bangs.

Full Bangs

Why not go all in like T. Swift? Wide bangs blown out or straightened are bold, but if you’re confident in your stride, this look will definitely suit you. A few things to remember: If you have an angular face, full bangs will make you stand out (positively) in pics. If you have a high forehead, full bangs will shorten your face (so stay away if you have a small face). Other than that, ask your stylist and see what they say!
