Studies show that relationships built on trust tend to last far longer than relationships built on attraction. That’s because attraction (while powerful in the beginning) may fizzle with time while trust is long lasting.
Relationships take effort to maintain. And anyone who has ever been in one knows that they can be hard sometimes. But, if you want the best chances of making it work, you are better off paying attention to the person who is loyal and trustworthy as opposed to the person who solely sparks attraction.
Now, that doesn’t mean you can’t have both in a person (trust and attraction). But, it does mean that if you are falling for someone who doesn’t keep their word and who you really can’t depend on, you don’t want to try and build a future with them.
