The original Home Alone is a classic holiday film we watch every year. The film’s protagonist, Kevin McCallister, played by Macaulay Culkin, finds himself home alone after his family goes on vacation, forgetting him in the chaos. Like Home Alone, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York is a classic ’90s film that cannot be forgotten. Once again, Kevin finds himself separated from his family, but this time, he ends up in New York City alone. The Netflix original Single All the Way is a Christmas rom-com featuring the protagonist, Peter (Michael Uri), and his best friend, Nick (Philemon Chambers). Peter is headed home for the holidays and desperately wants to avoid his family’s judgment over his singlehood. He convinces Nick to go with him and pretend they are dating while he dates a local. Netflix has mastered the Christmas rom-com genre! In Love Hard, Natalie (Nina Dobrev) is an LA girl who is unlucky in love. She fell for a man she met on an app on the East Coast and decided to surprise him, only to discover that she had been catfished.
