Miracle on 34th Street – 1947

Miracle on 34th Street begins with Kris Kringle (Edmund Gwenn) finding out the man set to play Santa at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is intoxicated. After informing the parade director, Doris Walker (Maureen O’Hara), she convinces him to take the role. If you’re in the mood for a classic Christmas musical, look no further than Meet Me in St. Louis, starring Judy Garland as Esther and Margaret O’Brien as Tootie Smith. In the movie, our characters are on the brink of 1904, prior to the Louisiana Purchase Exposition World’s Fair.
