Halloween is less than a week away! But before you stock up on more last-minute candy, consider giving the younger kids in your life treats that aren’t laden with sugar (and can be re-used next year!). Here are a few Halloween gift ideas that aren’t candy.
Halloween Stickers
Younger trick-or-treaters are typically big fans of stickers, as they can play with them, wear them, or place them on their belongings. Plus, when they’re Halloween-themed, the young ones feel involved without overdoing the candy, which their parents will also enjoy.
Glow-in-the-Dark Apparel/Bags
Keeping your kids safe is a priority, which is why glow sticks, glow-in-the-dark necklaces, and other accessories have dual purposes. They will enjoy the gift, and it will make them more visible at night.
Halloween Play-Doh
Gifting kids with Play-Doh instead of candy is a great way to keep them entertained while giving parents some time to sit back and relax.
Bubbles
While they are usually a summer toy, bubbles for Halloween can keep the younger ones endlessly entertained while allowing parents a few minutes to themselves.
Crayons & Coloring Books
If you only have a few kids to gift this Halloween, consider crayons and coloring books. You can opt for some spooky Halloween-themed books or ones that coordinate with their costumes.
Vampire Teeth
Remember this staple from your childhood? Whether they’re glow-in-the-dark or feature your favorite Halloween colors, Vampire teeth always go over well with the younger crowd. They are entertaining and may even make a great costume accessory.
Raisins or Fruit Snacks
Raisins or fruit snacks are great for trick-or-treaters, as they still give kids a fun treat, but they’re much healthier than typical candy.
Candy is a Halloween staple, but it isn’t the only thing you can treat the little ones to this season. Opt for these treats that are just as sweet but more age-appropriate.
great idea
Small toys are also a great choice! The dollar tree has many multi packs of cute Lil party favor toys that make a great addition to the candy haul of Halloween, and at roughly 10-20 cents each, they’re even cheaper than many candies!! Throw in some fun with all the candy to light up the kiddos in your neighborhood!
