We love dinner with our besties, but do you ever have those nights when dinner doesn’t sound all that fun? That’s where we come in! Here are five things you can do with your besties that aren’t dinner. And, yes, all of these things can be wrapped up by 9 p.m.!
Two Words: Movie Night
Remember how much fun sleepovers used to be? You would get together with your besties, eat junk food, and watch a crowd favorite like Clueless or Spice World. Relive the magic by inviting friends to eat takeout, bake cookies, and watch an old favorite or new release. Whatever you do, make sure you take a lot of pictures.
Tour the Town
No matter where you live, there is an opportunity to explore something local. Get with your friends and plan a day to check out walking tours, local museums, historical homes, and any unique downtowns nearby.
Host a Themed Cocktail (or Mocktail) Evening
All you need to do for a themed cocktail party is pick a theme (such as Taylor Swift, a color, a holiday, a decade, etc.), then get everyone together to make a round of themed cocktails or mocktails for the gang to enjoy
Start a Book Club
Thanks to BookTok and Bookstagram, our TBR pile has grown exponentially. Knock out a few of those titles with your best friends by starting a book club. Each month, you’ll select a book to read, then meet up to discuss and eat snacks. Bonus points if your snacks and drinks are themed according to your book.
Day Trips
Day trips are the best – you don’t have to sit in the car for hours, and you get to sleep in your own bed. Plan a day trip with your besties (maybe something seasonal like berry picking or historical like touring a museum). Just remember that half the fun is in the journey.
