Whether you’ve been a fan since her No Doubt days or you’re a recent follower, you can’t deny that Gwen Stefani was, and always has been, a fashion icon. The pop superstar once defined her style as “casual and tomboy mashed up with old Hollywood glamour.” We think she was being much too modest. Even after all these years, we’re still trying to mimic her look. We scoured her Instagram to find a few of our favorite looks, then played around with them so that we could at least try to be as cool as Gwen Stefani.

This low-key look perfectly encapsulates that whole casual tomboy style that Gwen does so well. We love this light-wash denim, and that fishnet top adds so much fun texture.
To re-create this outfit, start with a pair of light-wash jeans that sit right on the hips and pair them with a chunky white cropped sweater like this Asos Cropped Sweater with Turn Back Cuffs ($40, shop here).
Then, opt for a fishnet top that will stay tucked in, or snag a pair of fishnet tights to wear under your jeans and pull those babies all the way up! Top off your outfit with some chunky Dr. Martens.

Gwen’s been sporting the western look a lot lately, and we can’t help but wonder if this means she is becoming more inspired by her man, Blake Shelton. Whatever the thought is behind these fits, we know a queen when we see one.
