A Walk to Remember
Mandy Moore and Shane West co-star in this devastatingly beautiful coming-of-age romance based on the Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name. You’re going to cry – and cry hard. Granted, you can replace any Sparks adaptation for this one (i.e., The Notebook) for the same tear-jerking effect. Watch on Amazon Prime.

It’s a Wonderful Life
This 1946 holiday classic starring James Stewart and Donna Reed feels relevant year-round. At times heartbreaking, It’s a Wonderful Life does bring positivity back around for an ending that’s everything you want it to be. Its final lines will leave you equal parts happy and tearful. Coco
Coco plays to the Disney-Pixar trifecta: storytelling, a perfect soundtrack, and character development. The animated film follows a young boy who, during a Dia de Los Muertos celebration, uncovers a truth about his family’s history that propels him to achieve his dreams. Apollo 13
This 1995 film is based on the true story of the 1970 Apollo 13 mission, which was meant to land on the moon but instead struggled to make it back to Earth. With a star-studded cast including Tom Hanks, Bill Paxton, Kevin Bacon, and Gary Sinise, the movie follows the toll the mission takes on the astronauts, the scientists struggling to bring them home, and their families that can do nothing but helplessly wait. Forrest Gump

About Time
About Time is, in our opinion, an underrated romance starring Rachel McAdams opposite Domhnall Gleeson (and it’s a great choice for fans of Click). With his time-traveling gift, Gleeson’s character can’t change the past, but he can write the future, which helps him woo his dream girl. However, not all time-traveling stories are sunshine and roses, and this one certainly has its tear-jerking moments. Watch on Netflix.
A good cry should never be underestimated. Rather than bottling up those feelings, tune in to any one of these movies and brace yourself for some waterworks.
