Tiger Woods might struggle in the 2018 Masters, but there’s no drama these days in his relationship with ex-wife Elin Nordegren. This may come as a surprise after their 2010 divorce following revelations of the pro golfer’s involvement with other women.
“She’s one of my best friends,” he told Time in 2015. “We’re able to pick up the phone, and we talk to each other all the time. We both know that the most important things in our lives are our kids. I wish I would have known that back then.”
Back then in 2009 reports emerged that he had been carrying on several affairs. Sources say their prenuptial agreement was renegotiated after the sex scandal derailed Tiger’s personal life and professional career.
Nordegren told People magazine in 2014 that their children are the reason for her bond with Woods these days. They share two kids, daughter Sam, 10, and son Charlie, 9. “My relationship with Tiger is centered around our children and we are doing really good — we really are — and I am so happy that is the case. He is a great father,” she said.
The man who was once ranked the No. 1 golfer in the world continues to rebuild. Woods moved back into the world’s top 100 despite a disappointing performance in the Masters.
