Things to Do If You Ever Find Yourself in London

As one of the most visited cities in Europe, London never ceases to amaze. The culture is so diverse, it’s just hard to say “no” to this bucket list location. We’ve compiled a list of the best things to do, see, and explore in case you ever find yourself in this magical city!

Hyde Park
Located in the heart of London, Hyde Park is the most famous and largest of the Royal Parks. If you take a stroll here, you’ll be walking the same paths as the suffragettes did. Numerous demonstrations and protests still occur weekly in the park, especially in Speakers’ Corner. Gaze at the beautiful Serpentine Lido while taking in the fresh air. You may find yourself paddle-boating down the water with ducks and swans by your side.

Westminster Abbey
Westminster Abbey is much more than a royal church where weddings and funerals are held. Today, it’s considered London’s political hub, with the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben surrounding its glory. The architecture is graceful and jaw-droppingly beautiful. Notice the floor’s engravings of gravestones and dedications. The clock tower’s melody is delightful to listen to every hour. While traveling this royal block of land, visit Parliament Square, where you’ll find statues of famous men like Nelson Mandela, Abraham Lincoln, and Winston Churchill.

London Eye
Perhaps there are no views in London greater than the ones offered by the London Eye, the city’s iconic giant Ferris wheel. You can ride the superiorly constructed wheel with other travelers or book a private pod. If you have any extra time to spare, hit the adjacent London Aquarium. At night, the wheel is entirely lit up in seasonal colors.

The O2
You may have to do some advanced planning to visit The O2, but it’s totally worth it. The biggest names in the entertainment industry frequent The O2 arena, and the restaurants and bars inside offer food and drink options from around the world. For an adventurous take on the experience, purchase tickets to climb to the top. Don’t worry; you’ll have a guide and be securely strapped in! Think of it like a new rendition of rock or mountain climbing!

Piccadilly Circus
With its bright lights and towering electronic screens, Piccadilly Circus may remind you of Times Square! This neck of the woods is the heart of London’s West End, granting easy access to world-famous theaters and nightclubs. The Criterion Theatre is one of the best; check it out if you can.
