COVID-Era Guest Policies for Your Home

Just because COVID case counts are currently trending downward, that doesn’t mean we should let our guards down just yet. Here are a few helpful tips to ensure you and your family stay safe this holiday season.

Set Clear Boundaries for Guests

When having guests over to your home, it’s important to let them know what you expect of them and your stance on certain safety protocols. For instance, if you’re immunocompromised or prefer your guests to wear masks while they are indoors, let them know before they arrive. Whatever protocols you want to put in place for your safety are fine, just make sure you establish those boundaries with your guests in advance.

Opt for No-Contact Deliveries

Contactless delivery, which allows for delivery services to leave your packages, groceries, or dinner orders outside your door, is the way of the future. Don’t hesitate to take advantage of it when offered.

Offer Hand Sanitizer to Guests

While it’s not a surefire way to prevent the spread of COVID, having guests use hand sanitizer when they enter your home can help prevent outside germs from making their way into your space.

Cancel if Sick

It should go without saying, but you should refrain from having guests over to your home when anyone living there is sick or displaying any symptoms of COVID-19.
