These Celebs Found Early Fame as Cheerleaders

It’s not surprising that some very famous entertainers were cheerleaders back in the day. Take a look at old photos and you’ll see these women were just as cute then as they are now. Here are a few who made the cheerleading squad in school.

Jenna Dewan

The World of Dance host was a high school cheerleader for the Mustangs of Grapevine, Texas, before starting her pro career as a backup dancer for Janet Jackson and actress in Step Up.

Reese Witherspoon

The Oscar winner posted on Instagram a cute snap from her days atop the cheerleader pyramid at Harding Academy in Nashville. “#TBT to my days as a proud General,” she wrote.

Fergie

The singer was a pom-pom shaker at Glen A. Wilson High School in Hacienda Heights, California, back in 1992.

Eva Longoria

Longoria cheered for Roy Miller High School in Corpus Christi, Texas, as well as for Texas A&M-Kingsville in college. This was years before she became one of the most glamorous of the Desperate Housewives on TV.

Sandra Bullock

The Oscar-winning actress hasn’t changed a bit since the days when she wore pigtails with her Arlington, Virginia cheerleading uniform.

Kelly Ripa

On the other hand, the cohost of Live with Kelly and Ryan is almost unrecognizable underneath the hair that she admits was “as big as it could possibly get.” The proof is in photos of Ripa as a Voorhees, N.J. cheerleader.

Chrissy Teigen

The Twitter user extraordinaire cheered for her Snohomish High School alma mater in Washington state before making her debut in the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2010. Later she famously married singer John Legend.
