We Are Ready for These Trends to Come Back Any Day Now

Fashion trends come and go – and we do our fair share of talking about trends we were happy to see go away. But what about trends we’re dying to see make the ultimate comeback? We compiled a list of past fashion trends we want back in our lives! And, for the record, if they do come back, you read it here first.

Polka Dots

Polka dots are often associated with the 1950s and 1960s, but they also made a huge comeback in the 1990s (think: Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman). Today’s polka dots are pretty subtle in comparison, and we’re ready for them to return in full force. Tell us a magenta bikini with large white polka dots wouldn’t be a poolside show-stopper!

White Keds

Maybe we’re just not over our Dirty Dancing phase, but we love clean white Keds with everything from denim shorts and overalls to midi skirts and cropped pants. Now, we’ve seen white sneakers come back in a big way but not necessarily in the form of Keds. So if these could just make the ultimate comeback, that would be rad.

Bold Blazers

While neutral blazers have been fashion staples over the last few years, we have yet to see the revival of boldly printed blazers. Think about how incredible it would look over an all-black tee and trouser combo. Let’s all agree to revisit this come fall, shall we?

Stirrup Pants

Yes, we’re serious! Think about it: They’re basically leggings that stay in place no matter what shoes you wear! And if we could get our hands on that rainbow butterfly sweater, we wouldn’t be mad about that.

The Sleeveless Turtleneck

The sleeveless turtleneck deserves a good, strong comeback. It’s a simple yet daring silhouette, and we dig it with a skirt or under a jumper. And, of course, you can’t forget to wear it with a claw clip or chopsticks to hold back your hair.
